Beginners Hill and Mountain Navigation

A one day introduction to the use of map and compass in a hill and mountain environment. Suitable for all levels of fitness for people that want to get away from the path.

Advanced Hill and Mountain Navigation
10th April 2022. All day £80pp Glencoe
A one day course to become very proficient in the use of map and compass in a hill and mountain environment. All the advanced navigation techniques will be covered, with minimal use of paths.
Add the Beginners Day for £70 at the time of booking.

Mountaincraft
Over 2 days we can teach you the skills needed for travelling, and decision making in dynamic situations.
Over 2 days we will cover : Mountain Weather and its effects / Security on Steep Ground / River Crossing and Hazards / Access and Conservation / Incident Management / Campcraft / First Aid / Hypothermia

Skills Refresher
This is a tailored day to be used for bringing yourself back up to scratch. We can cover topics such as : Navigation / Steep Ground Ropework / Party Leadership.
This can also be used as a Refresher for those that have passed the Summer Mountain Leader Award some time ago, or are coming up for Assessment.
The Skills Refresher Day is for you to brush up on those rusty skills you haven't used in a while...

Rock Climbing Taster
Rock Climbing is open to most ages and abilities. We can run sessions for :-
An afternoon in Glen Nevis , suitable for Families and small groups of friends
Full Day sessions also available. Ideal for:-
Complete beginners / Indoor Climbers that want to move Outside / Learning how to set up Top/Bottom rope systems / Single Pitch Award Refresher.
